Graveyard Publishing As My Publisher
As your Publisher, you will also receive the following services:
- We will edit your manuscript and format it to publishing specifications.
- Our Publishing Staff will evaluate your Manuscript to determine the proper printing,
binding method, and cover for your book to help you maximize sales.
- Our Publishing Staff will perform a pricing evaluation of your book to determine proper
Retail and Wholesale Pricing for your book.
- Your book is assigned a Graveyard Publishing ISBN Number upon publication.
- Your book will receive a scannable Bookland-EAN bar code placed on the back cover.
(Not applicable to one-piece covers.)
- Bibliographic data on your book will be fed by our printers to major international
bibliographic databases and available to booksellers. At the booksellers' discretion, your book may be made available for
sale online or in bookstores.
- Our printers will convert your retail price into five currencies (US dollars,
British pounds, Australian dollars, Euros, and Canadian dollars) to facilitate global availability and purchasing.
- A listing in a wholesaler's catalog, giving your book access to online retailers
such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
- Your book will have a full color cover at no charge to you.
- Additional copies of your book can be purchased from us at a discounted cost
should you decide to distribute your own material as well as have us distribute your material.
When you select Graveyard Publishing as your publisher, you sign a contract
with Graveyard Publishing giving us editing rights to edit the material for publication, distribution rights, and exclusive
publishing rights to the material. We also retain the right to list your book on our web site as well as through other distributors
and you will receive 20% Royalties from any profits from any sales of your book from our web sites or through any of
our distribution channels. Royalties are paid quarterly, and will be paid to the Author within 30 days of the end
of the quarter for any Sale Royalties earned during the provious quarter. Profits are defined as "Sales Price" minus
our expenses to publish the book. Royaltie payments are not paid to Authors for their own purchases of their own published
work. Royalties are also not paid on sales of books to Libraries or Educational Institutions, as these are distributed
to these institutions at cost.
At the time of signing a contract with Graveyard Publishing, the Author will
be required to fill out a W-9 Form for the I.R.S. as all Commission Earnings are subject to tax. Earnings are
reported to the I.R.S., however you will be responsible for paying any tax on Royaltie Earnings as Graveyard Publishing
does not withhold from your Royalties. Graveyard Publishing contracts all Authors as Vendors, and you will receive a 1099
I.R.S. form from us at the end of each year to file with your taxes for any income from your publications.
International Authors must have an I.R.S. - ITIN (International
Taxpayer Identification Number) and be able to supply us with a completed I.R.S. Form W-8ECI at the time of signing
any contract with Graveyard Publishing. You will then be personally liable for paying any taxes owed to the U.S. Government
or your Government on any Royalties earned through the sale of your material.
We can not guarantee that your book will be picked up by sellers such as Barnes
& Noble for inclusion in their physical stores, but the majority of the time Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and others, will
list the book as available in their online stores even if they do not physically stock the book. It is up to each individual
book seller which books they choose to distribute or stock, and many times it will depend upon how a book sells online whether
it is picked up for physical sales in their stores.
Note - ISPN Numbers are assigned to the publisher of the
book for that particular title and can not be transfered. The ISBN number, when assigned, as well as all cover art remain
the property of Graveyard Publishing.
NOTICE: This services are only available to those
whose submissions have been selected through our submissions process. Except as listed above, there is no charge to the Author
for publishing through Graveyard Publishing using Graveyard Publishing as your publisher.
